On Friday, Feb. 14, former Pontotoc High School standout Brice Deaton’s current college team, the Jacksonville State Gamecocks, won 9-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies.

The game took place at Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Golden Grizzlies this season.

The Gamecocks’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15 at 1 p.m. at Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium against Oakland Golden Grizzlies.
