Cotie McMahon has been named Co-SEC Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks, according to an announcement from the Southeastern Conference on Tuesday.
This is McMahon’s ninth weekly conference honor overall and her second recognition in the SEC. Previously, she was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week six times and received Big Ten Player of the Week honors on January 22, 2024. She was also recognized as SEC Player of the Week earlier this month on January 13, 2026.
During this season, McMahon has consistently scored in double figures in all but one game and has reached at least 20 points in 11 games. Last week, she led all SEC players and ranked fourth nationally in points per game while leading the conference in rebounds per contest. Her strong performances have coincided with team success; each time she recorded a double-double this season, another Ole Miss player achieved the same feat.
Her influence was evident against Missouri when she delivered her most complete performance of the year—scoring 33 points and collecting 12 rebounds for a double-double that matched her career high. She also contributed five assists and two blocks during Ole Miss’s 82-61 victory.
McMahon excelled particularly in the second half of that game, scoring 24 out of her total 33 points while shooting nine-for-13 from the field. She became both the first Rebel to score at least 30 points this season and the first since Madison Scott to do so. The last time an Ole Miss player scored as many as McMahon did was when Marquesha Davis had a similar output against Florida on March 8, 2024.
Alongside McMahon, Georgia’s Dani Carnegie was selected as Co-SEC Player of the Week. Oklahoma’s Aaliyah Chavez earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors.
