Ole Miss lost to No. 25 Tennessee with a final score of 84-66 on Tuesday night at the Food City Center in Knoxville. This game marked the third consecutive road contest for Ole Miss, which now holds an 11-11 overall record and is 3-6 in SEC play.

The Rebels began the game with a three-pointer from Ilias Kamardine, securing the first lead. Tennessee responded by building an 18-9 advantage by the 12:18 mark of the first half. Ole Miss then went on a 10-3 run over more than six minutes, narrowing the gap to one point. The Rebels’ defense limited Tennessee’s scoring until Ja’kobi Gillespie hit a three-pointer with just over two minutes left in the half, putting Tennessee ahead 26-20.

AJ Storr contributed with an and-one layup and free throw, reducing Tennessee’s lead to one point late in the first half. Storr also made a steal during Tennessee’s last possession before halftime, keeping Ole Miss within reach as they trailed 26-25 at the break.

In the second half, Tennessee extended its lead to 55-42 within just over nine minutes of play, prompting an Ole Miss timeout. The Volunteers maintained their momentum after play resumed and continued to widen their advantage.

Ole Miss will conclude its four-game road stretch against Texas on Saturday, February 7. The matchup will take place at Moody Center in Austin at 1 p.m., broadcast on ESPN2.

“AJ Storr scored 15 points tonight and has averaged 19.9 over the last seven games.”

“Patton Pinkins added 15 as well, scoring 15 or more in four of the last nine games.”

“Ilias Kamardine tied his season-best with three makes from beyond the arc.”
