The No. 10 Ole Miss men’s golf team finished tied for second place on May 19 at the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional, following a strong performance at Bermuda Run Country Club.
The team’s result was driven by a record-setting round in which they shot 15-under par, marking the lowest round among all 14 teams over the first two days of play. This score set a new program best for an NCAA event and matched their best-ever postseason round from this season’s SEC Championships.
Cameron Tankersley led the Rebels with seven birdies, moving to 10-under overall and tying for second individually. Collins Trolio rebounded from an early setback to finish with six birdies and a career-best five-under-par 66, climbing into the top ten on the individual leaderboard. Tom Fischer also remained in the top ten after recording four birdies on his back nine and finishing six under through two rounds. Finn Meister contributed with a one-under-par 70, while Cohen Trolio posted an even-par 72.
With these performances, Ole Miss aims to maintain its position within the top five to secure an invitation to the NCAA Championship as they head into the final round tomorrow morning.
