Ole Miss men’s tennis team continued its strong start to the 2025-26 season with a 4-1 victory over Dayton on Sunday night at the South Regency Tennis Center in Dayton, Ohio. The win marks the Rebels’ best season opening since 2021-22, bringing their record to 7-0.

Head coach Jake Jacoby, in his first year leading Ole Miss, saw his team face tough competition from Dayton (now 1-3). With the match score at 3-1, freshman Vlado Jankanj secured the deciding point by defeating Sturle Skigelstrand in two consecutive tiebreak sets. Jankanj won both sets 7-6 to clinch the match for Ole Miss.
