Ole Miss men’s tennis head coach Jake Jacoby announced on May 13 the signing of Moritz Kudernatsch for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
The addition of Kudernatsch is seen as a step to strengthen the team, which is preparing for the next campaign. The move highlights Ole Miss’s efforts to build a competitive roster by bringing in experienced players from other programs.
“Moritz is excited to come to Oxford, and we are even more excited to have him here,” Jacoby said. “He has steadily improved as a tennis player during his time in college, and he’s also a great person and teammate. He is going to help us right away with his experience playing in big matches and as a leader and teammate. Can’t wait to get started with him!”
Kudernatsch, originally from Munich, Germany, will transfer after three seasons at Memphis. While at Memphis, he played singles on courts one and two and achieved career-high rankings of No. 101 in ITA singles and No. 58 in ITA doubles this past spring.
With a current UTR of 13.12, Kudernatsch becomes the second addition from the transfer portal for Ole Miss this offseason, joining Igor Kudriashov. The Rebels’ roster now includes six student-athletes: returners Stefano D’Agostino, Pietro Pampanin, Vlado Jankanj, Kai Milburn, along with newcomers Kudernatsch and Kudriashov.
