No. 25 Ole Miss men’s tennis will finish its regular season with two home matches against top-ranked opponents, according to an April 9 announcement. The Rebels are set to face No. 19 Auburn on Friday, April 10, and No. 22 Kentucky on Sunday, April 12.

These final matches are important for the Rebels as they aim to improve their Southeastern Conference standings before postseason play begins. Ole Miss currently holds a record of 17-7 overall and is tied at 5-7 in SEC competition.

The team enters the weekend after a win over Tennessee and features several ranked players: Stefano D’Agostino (No.79) and Matthieu Chambonniere (No.117) in singles, as well as the doubles pair Isac Stromberg and Kai Milburn (No.25). Auburn brings its own strengths with two ranked singles players—Amirkhamza Nasridinov (No.23) and Billy Blayes (No.66)—and the No.12 doubles pair of Billy Blades and Freddy Blaydes.

Sunday’s match against Kentucky will also serve as Senior Day for Isac Stromberg, Noah Schlagenhauf, and Gordon Whitwell of Ole Miss. Kentucky arrives with four ranked singles competitors—Eli Stephenson (No.20), Jack Loutit (No.78), Nicolas Arseneault (No.80), Charlelie Cosnet (No.97)—and two ranked doubles pairs: Eli Stephensen/Jack Loutit at No.16 and Martin Breysach/Charlelie Cosnet at No.89.

Several Rebel athletes have achieved notable individual records this season: Chambonniere finished with a team-high number of wins in both singles and doubles; D’Agostino reached high international rankings; Jankanj won his first juniors title; Milburn has excelled in both singles and doubles; while seniors like Schlagenhauf, Strömberg, and Whitwell have contributed strong performances throughout their careers.

The outcome of these last two matches will help determine Ole Miss’s position heading into postseason tournaments.
