Ole Miss track and field will begin its postseason with the 2026 Southeastern Conference (SEC) Outdoor Championships, which take place at Auburn from May 14 to May 16. The event will be broadcast live on SEC Network+ each day, with a special live window on SEC Network during Saturday’s championship events.

The meet is significant as it marks the start of the championship season for collegiate track and field teams in the region. Both Ole Miss men’s and women’s teams are set to face strong competition, including several nationally ranked programs. The men’s team enters the championships ranked No. 18 nationally, while the women’s team is just outside the top-25 at No. 33.

Several athletes are expected to play key roles for Ole Miss during this meet. Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan returns as a senior and Commissioner’s Trophy winner, leading in both shot put and hammer throw events this season. He has already won eleven SEC titles across indoor and outdoor seasons in his career and stands close to breaking conference records for individual titles. Other returning medalists include Lily Beattie in pole vault, Akaoma Odeluga in shot put, and Arvesta Troupe in high jump.

Head coach Connie Price-Smith leads Ole Miss into her eleventh year at the helm of the program. Under her leadership, Ole Miss has claimed numerous individual titles at both conference and national levels, along with several top-five finishes by both men’s and women’s squads at previous SEC Outdoor meets.

The full schedule includes preliminary rounds for sprints, middle distance races, jumps, throws, relays, as well as finals spread over three days of competition. Athletes such as Jordan Urrutia in sprints and relay events are also highlighted among those expected to contribute significantly based on their recent performances.

As teams gather at Auburn this week for one of collegiate athletics’ most competitive conference meets, all eyes will be on whether Ole Miss can add more individual champions under Price-Smith’s tenure or break new ground with standout performances from its returning stars.
