The No. 19 Ole Miss women’s golf team finished the second day of the NCAA Louisville Regional on May 12 with a score of 287, keeping the team seven under par across two rounds and in sixth place at the University of Louisville Golf Club.

The team’s performance is significant as only the top five teams from this regional will advance to the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, California. The Rebels are aiming to secure one of those spots during tomorrow’s final round.

Matilda Björkman led Ole Miss with a round of 68, four under par, after birdieing three of her last four holes. Kajsalotta Svarvar stayed within the top ten individually by shooting an even-par 72 for the day. Mary Miller recorded a score of 73, including three birdies on the back nine, placing her in a tie for twentieth and keeping her under par over both rounds. Filippa Sundquist carded a 74 while Nicole Gal shot a 75.

The Rebels are scheduled to tee off for their final round at 7 a.m. Central Time on Wednesday. The outcome will determine whether they qualify for advancement to nationals.
