Ole Miss women’s basketball will face LSU on Thursday, February 19, at the SJB Pavilion in Oxford. The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN.
The matchup marks the third in a series of four games against AP top 25 opponents for Ole Miss, which is currently ranked No. 17 nationally with a record of 21-6 overall and 8-4 in the SEC. Head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin leads the Rebels in her eighth season at Ole Miss.
LSU enters the contest ranked No. 7 with a record of 22-4 and an identical conference mark of 8-4. Kim Mulkey, now in her fifth season as head coach at LSU, has guided the Tigers to consistent national prominence, including a national championship in 2023.
Fans attending Thursday’s game are encouraged to arrive early; doors open 90 minutes before tipoff for students and one hour prior for the general public. Students will have access to free concessions while supplies last, $2.50 beer specials, and an exclusive Cotie McMahon poster celebrating her recent achievement of surpassing 2,000 career points. The event will also include a pink jersey giveaway and other activities as part of Play4Kay festivities. Survivors will be recognized during halftime, followed by a performance from NPHC featuring representatives from all Divine Nine organizations.
The two teams have met 66 times previously, with LSU holding a 43-23 advantage in the series and winning 12 of the last 13 matchups. However, Ole Miss defeated then-No.7 LSU last season in Baton Rouge after overcoming a significant deficit.
Recent performances have seen standout efforts from Ole Miss players. In their latest game against Tennessee, Cotie McMahon scored a career-high 39 points—tying for third-most by any Rebel player in program history—and became just the fifth Rebel ever to reach the milestone of 2,000 career points. Latasha Lattimore contributed with her fourth consecutive double-double.
This season has been notable for both programs’ achievements: LSU ranks among the nation’s leaders in multiple statistical categories—including scoring offense and rebounding margin—while Ole Miss has reached at least 20 wins for five straight seasons under Coach McPhee-McCuin.
