The Ole Miss women’s golf team, ranked No. 15 nationally, finished the first round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on Monday at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The Rebels recorded a team score of 300 (+16), placing them in a tie for 12th position after the opening day.

Kajsalotta Svarvar led Ole Miss with a two-under-par 69, marking her seventh round in the 60s this season. Svarvar is tied for third overall and is one of only seven players to finish under par after the first round.

Challenging weather conditions, including cooler temperatures and strong winds, impacted play throughout the day. No. 9 Texas was the only team to post an under-par team score during the opening round.

The second round is scheduled to begin Tuesday morning at 10:10 a.m. CT. Live coverage will be available on Golf Channel starting at 1:30 p.m.
