Ole Miss women’s tennis will close out its regular season with two away matches, facing No. 19 Tennessee on April 9 and Kentucky on April 11, according to an April 8 announcement.

These final matches are significant as the Rebels (13-9, 5-8 SEC) aim to extend their current four-match winning streak before entering postseason play. Recent highlights for Ole Miss include Riley Crowder clinching the decisive court in a narrow win over No. 51 Mississippi State and a sweep of No. 44 Alabama.

The team will first compete against the Volunteers (11-8, 6-7 SEC) at the Dr. Robert L. Barksdale Tennis Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee. Tennessee’s season includes a berth in the ITA Indoor National Championships with notable wins over No. 15 Virginia and No. 8 Oklahoma State in nonconference play, while their conference record features a victory at No. 7 Texas and several ranked singles and doubles players.

Afterward, Ole Miss will travel to Lexington for its final match against Kentucky (9-13, 1-12 SEC) at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex. Kentucky’s standout moment came when Zoe Hammond defeated Texas’s then-No.1 player Carmen Herea; the Wildcats also feature a top-ranked doubles pair.

The Rebels’ roster features both experienced returners like Andrea Nova—who led returning players with thirteen wins this spring—and new faces such as Crowder and Owen Wilkinson, each highly ranked recruits from Alabama and Mississippi respectively.

Looking ahead, all five remaining players from last year’s squad are set to return next season alongside this year’s freshmen additions.
