On Saturday, March 1, former Myrtle High School standout Sarah Kate Thompson’s current college team, the Union Bulldogs, lost 5-2 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Mississippi Choctaws.
The game took place at Fesmire Softball Field. This was their first matchup against the Choctaws this season.
The Bulldogs’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 3 p.m. at Fesmire Softball Field against Mississippi Choctaws.
Lafayette County has obtained $5 million from state sources aimed at upgrading its detention center facilities as well as local behavioral health resources through Communicare’s Haven House program. Officials say these improvements will address rising public safety needs along with growing demand for mental health support.
