On Tuesday, Feb. 25, former Pontotoc High School standout Brice Deaton’s current college team, the Jacksonville State Gamecocks, lost 20-11 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The game took place at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Crimson Tide this season.

The Gamecocks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. at Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium against Arkansas State Red Wolves.
