Of the 6,070 people living in Pontotoc in 2020, 57.2 percent (3,472) were women and 42.8 percent (2,598) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Oxford Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 164. In the 65 and over age range, there were 705 females and 367 males.
