What background was most represented in Panola County schools in 2019-2020 school year?

Of the 5,742 students enrolled in Panola County schools in 2019-2020, 64.8% were Black or African American, according to the Mississippi Department of Education. This was the most represented ethnicity among Panola County students.

This is unchanged from the previous school year.

South Panola High School had the highest enrollment of Black or African American students in the 2019-2020 school year.

A snapshot of Panola County schools showed 64.8% students were Black or African American, 31% were White, 1.7% were Two or More Races and 0.7% were Hispanic or Latino.
