Ole Miss senior Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan continues to be recognized as one of the top athletes in collegiate track and field, maintaining his place on The Bowerman Watch List for 2026. The announcement was made Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Bowerman is considered the highest individual honor in collegiate track and field, similar to football’s Heisman Trophy. Established in 2009, it is named after legendary Oregon coach Bill Bowerman and honors the most outstanding male and female NCAA athletes each year.
Robinson-O’Hagan has now appeared on The Bowerman Watch List 11 consecutive times, beginning with the preseason list for the 2025 season. His first major recognition from The Bowerman came when he was named a semifinalist after his sophomore season in 2024. This March, he is one of four throwers included on the list and among three SEC athletes featured, alongside Oklahoma’s Ralford Mullings and Auburn sprinter Kanyinsola Ajayi.
Robinson-O’Hagan recently secured his third straight sweep of both shot put and weight throw titles at the SEC Indoor Championships, marking his 10th and 11th conference championships. His performance earned him a third consecutive SEC Cliff Harper Trophy and contributed to Ole Miss finishing second overall with 67 points—the best indoor finish in program history.
He has also qualified for his fourth indoor double berth at the NCAA Championships in both shot put and weight throw. Robinson-O’Hagan leads all NCAA competitors this season in shot put with a personal best of 21.18 meters achieved at Clemson’s Bob Pollock Invitational in January. This mark ranks him second all-time in SEC history indoors and places him just outside becoming the first athlete to surpass 70 feet indoors within the conference.
In weight throw, he stands fourth nationally based on his season-opening mark of 23.78 meters. Robinson-O’Hagan has maintained an impressive record against fellow collegiate competitors, losing only once indoors since April 2024 in shot put and being surpassed five times throughout his Ole Miss career in weight throw—three during NCAA finals.
As he prepares for his final indoor meet representing Ole Miss, Robinson-O’Hagan ranks second all-time among collegiate athletes for combined personal records in shot put and weight throw at 45.53 meters—trailing only North Dakota State’s Payton Otterdahl from 2019.
Over his college career, Robinson-O’Hagan has become a three-time NCAA Champion, collected twelve All-American honors, won eleven SEC titles, been named SEC Field Athlete of the Year four times, claimed four SEC points trophies, earned twelve SEC medals, scored fifty-nine career NCAA points, and accumulated one hundred twenty-four points at SEC competitions.
The next update to The Bowerman Watch List will follow the upcoming NCAA Indoor Championships scheduled for March 13-14 at the University of Arkansas, where Robinson-O’Hagan will compete alongside six other Ole Miss athletes.
“The Bowerman debuted in 2009 and is named after former University of Oregon coach Bill Bowerman,” according to information provided by USTFCCCA. “It is presented annually by the USTFCCCA to the most outstanding male and female NCAA track & field athletes in the nation.”
