Collins Trolio and Jacob Blanton, representing Ole Miss, completed their participation in the 10th annual Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate on Sunday in Statesboro, Georgia. Trolio finished tied for seventh after a final round of three-under 69. He began his round on the fifth hole, making birdies on two of his first five holes. Trolio added another birdie at the par-5 15th and recorded his fourth birdie of the round on the first hole.
Trolio led all players in scoring on par-5 holes during the tournament, finishing eight-under for those holes.
Jacob Blanton concluded his tournament with an eight-over final round to place tied for 38th.
The Ole Miss men’s golf team will start its spring season at the Watersound Invitational in Inlet Beach, Florida from February 16 to 18. The event will take place at Shark’s Tooth Golf Course and will be hosted by Florida State University.
