On Wednesday, April 2, former West Union High School standout Annie Orman’s current college team, the Troy Trojans, won 14-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the West Georgia Wolves.
The game took place at UWG Softball Field. This was their third matchup against the Wolves this season.
The Trojans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 6 p.m. at Troy Softball Complex against Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns.
Lafayette County has obtained $5 million from state sources aimed at upgrading its detention center facilities as well as local behavioral health resources through Communicare’s Haven House program. Officials say these improvements will address rising public safety needs along with growing demand for mental health support.
In Panola County, the week’s lowest midgrade gas price was $3.09 per gallon as of the week ending Jan. 31.
